The most aggressive form of Ransomware, referred to as crypto-ransomware, maliciously encrypts a computer user’s file, and then seeks payment for the encryption key needed to decrypt the data. The prevalence of this type of Ransomware is growing, and organizations should have a defense strategy to deal with it.
